*An Interpretation of Icarus - this screenshot is from AION Online* Icarus, as my philo teacher suggested, is a symbol for a poet's own dreams and aspirations...

We often hear the phrase "Ok lang Mangarap" (its ok to dream) or " hanggang pangarap nalang" (only in my dreams), "Hindi naman Masamang Mangarap" (there's nothing wrong in dreaming) either sarcastically or prolly meant to inspire someone.
Much has been said about dreams and dreaming...

A rather interesting question caught my attention at Plurk today. It goes a boy who stubbornly believed in his dreams VS. a boy who believed in the harsh reality! who do you think will win?
Naturally, I would probably think that the one rooted in reality would win. Although I think its one of those questions that would determine if you're a risk taker or a safe player...

I would say I am a dreamer, and probably am not alone... All of us have dreams, from our childhood, and while we were growing up, although some may change during the course of time...

Whether old or young, our dreams teach us, inspire us, give us a sense of meaning to what might be meaningless otherwise. They also bring us back to that state of innocence, that wonder that we all have as children. Our survival depends on this, for there is nothing that exists in our world that did not begin in a dream... It's our ability to dream, to wonder, to take in those magical things of nature and the universe that shows how untainted we are...

It's alright to dream, and dream BIG, but we should never forget the term "REALITY CHECK"... Not to fly too close to the sun, else end up like Icarus...
